    WINTHROP, Mass. – Simmons College women’s volleyball players Cailin Fredrickson (Columbia, Md.) and Kat Guillotte (New Bedford, Mass.) were each named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference All-Conference team, it was announced today by the league. Fredrickson was tabbed to the First Team, while Guillotte was a Second Team selection.

    STANDISH, Maine - The sixth-seeded Simmons College women's volleyball team gave number three seed Saint Joseph's College (Maine) all it could handle, but came up short in a 3-2 (24-26, 25-18, 21-25, 25-17, 15-9) loss to the host team in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Quarterfinals this evening in Standish, Maine. The Sharks finish their season at 9-18, while the Monks improve to 27-5 and advance to play second-seeded Johnson & Wales University, 3-0 winners over Lasell College, on October 5 in the semifinals.

    STANDISH, Maine - The Simmons College women's volleyball team was swept in a tri-match, falling to host Saint Joseph's College (Maine), 3-1 (25-16, 24-26, 25-21, 25-16) and losing to Maine Maritime Academy, 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-17) this afternoon at the Harold Alfond Center in Standish, Maine. The Sharks fall to 9-16 on the season, while the Monks are now 26-5 and the Mariners are 17-12.

    BOSTON, Mass. - The Simmons College women's volleyball team saw four players register seven or more kills, but were defeated by host Wentworth Institute of Technology, 3-1 (25-18, 25-27, 25-17, 25-19) this evening at Tansey Gymnasium in Boston, Mass. The Sharks fall to 9-15 on the season, while the Leopards improve to 10-16.

    BOSTON, Mass. - The Simmons College women's volleyball team was defeated by visiting Anna Maria College, 3-1 (25-23, 22-25, 25-23, 25-23) and Worcester Polytechnic Institute of Technology, 3-0 (25-19, 27-25, 25-16). WPI downed Anna Maria, 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-18) this afternoon at Moore Gymnasium in Boston, Mass. The Sharks are now 9-14 on the season, including 6-4 in league play, while the AMCATS are 15-13 and 5-4. The Engineers won their third straight match and nine of its last 10 to improve to 19-6.

The Sharks fall to 9-12 overall and 6-3 in league play, while the Saints improve to 7-14 overall and 5-2.

    BOSTON, Mass. – Junior setter Andalyn Duke (Litchfield Park, Ariz.) set for 33 assists and fired a match-high five aces to lead the Simmons College women’s volleyball team to a 3-1 (25-17, 25-20, 20-25, 25-21) victory over visiting Mount Ida College this afternoon in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference match at Moore Gymnasium in Boston, Mass. The Sharks have won four of their last six matches and improve to 9-11 overall and 6-2 in league play, while the Mustangs fall to 10-13 and 2-4.

The Sharks improve to 7-9 overall and 4-2 in league play, while the Cadets fall to 3-10 and 0-5.

    BOSTON, Mass. – The Simmons College women’s volleyball team split a pair of home matches in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference tri-match this afternoon, falling to Rivier University, 3-1 (25-17, 22-25, 25-13, 27-25), before closing out the day with a 3-0 (25-20, 27-25, 25-8) victory over Lasell College at Moore Gymnasium on the Simmons campus in Boston, Mass. The Sharks are now 6-9 overall and 3-2 in league play. Rivier defeated Lasell in the middle match, 3-1 (25-19, 16-25, 25-8, 25-19), to improve to 13-4 and a perfect 2-0 in GNAC action, while Lasell closed out the day at 5-15 and 1-2.

The Sharks improve to 5-8 overall and 2-1 in league play, while the Rams fall to 4-10 and 1-4.
