Volleyball Announces 2015-16 Recruiting Class

BOSTON, Mass. - Simmons College Volleyball has announced its 2015-16 recruiting class to begin regular season play in the fall of 2015.

BOSTON, Mass. - Simmons College Volleyball has announced its 2015-16 recruiting class to begin regular season play in the fall of 2015.

The Sharks will welcome a pair of players to the squad to vie for the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship.

The following student-athletes will be suiting up for Simmons in the fall.

Paola Rios (Miami, Fla.), who played for Riviera Preparatory School.

Emily Zawisa (Amsterdam, N.Y.), who played for Galaway High School.

Simmons Volleyball finished with a 9-2 mark in GNAC play and captured the number three seed in the league tournament for the program's highest-seeded appearance since 1999. Despite having the youngest roster in the conference, the Sharks won nine of its last 11 matches, including an eight-game win streak. Simmons advanced to the conference semifinals for the fourth consecutive season and boasted the GNAC Rookie of the Year as well as a pair of All-Conference honorees.
