KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Simmons College women's soccer team has been named a recipient of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Award for the 2015-16 academic year it was announced today. The honor is given to soccer programs throughout the United States for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team.

The Pioneers improve to 1-0 on the year, while the Sharks fall to 0-1.
BOSTON, Mass. - There are certain things that are valuable to a team that can't be coached and one of them is experience. The Simmons College Women's Soccer has been there, done that with 11 seniors returning, including six, who have started the majority of their respective careers. All told, the Sharks return all but one starter from last year's squad that finished third in the conference standings. Simmons is battle-tested and knows what it takes to get to the playoffs and will look to return to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Tournament and challenge for the league title.
