    GRAND LAKE, Colo. - Junior lacrosse players, Crystal Derosier (Kingston, Mass.) and Symonne Fontenot (Portsmouth, N.H.) were both named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll, it was recently announced by the IWLCA.

    BOSTON, Mass. -- Greer Gilbert (Falmouth, Mass.) scored six goals and added two assists to lead the Simmons College Sharks past the visiting Johnson & Wales Wildcats, 17-10 Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action. The Sharks move to 5-5 overall and 4-3 in the conference, while the Wildcats fall to .500 at 7-7, 4-4 GNAC.

    NEWTON, Mass. -– Simmons Lacrosse outscored the Lasers in the second half but it was not enough as Lasell defeated the Sharks, 16-14 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Grellier Field. The Lasers remained unbeaten in GNAC games, improving to 3-0 in the league and 5-3 overall while Simmons slipped to 4-3 on the year and 3-2 in conference games.

    BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore Kristen Tuleja scored the game-winning goal 56 seconds into a sudden-death third overtime to lift the Emmanuel College women’s lacrosse team over Simmons College, 11-10, Tuesday evening at Roberto Clemente Field. The win moves Emmanuel to 4-1 overall and 4-0 in the GNAC. The Sharks fall to 4-2 on the year and 3-1 in GNAC play.

Sophomore Ashley Sheehan (North Attleboro, Mass.) lead all Sharks with seven goals, a season high.

    BOSTON, Mass. -- Simmons Lacrosse opened Great Northeast Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon with a 22-0 shutout of the Anna Maria College AMCATS. The Sharks (2-1, 1-0 GNAC) outshot the visitors 41-4 and 12 different Sharks scored at least one goal.

The Sharks (1-1) were led by sophomore Greer Gilbert (Falmouth, Mass.), who posted four goals and junior Stephanie Oliveri (Waltham, Mass.) who added three. Emerson’s Meredith Weber score a game-high five goals for the Lyons.

The Sharks opened their 2014 season with a 15-11 victory over the visiting Regis College Pride on Saturday.

    BOSTON, Mass. -- After the most successful season in program history in 2013, Simmons Lacrosse will open their 2014 campaign Saturday with the goal of returning to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference finals. The Sharks, who went 10-4, 7-2 GNAC last spring, fell to the Lasell College Lasers by just one goal in the Conference championship and are out for redemption.
