    WINTHROP, Mass. – Simmons University’s Samantha Hogan (Westborough, Mass.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for the week of March 9-15, it was announced today by the league.

    DAVENPORT, Fla. – First year attacker Samantha Hogan (Westborough, Mass.) netted seven goals to match the Simmons University women’s lacrosse record for markers in a game by a rookie to lead the Sharks to a 17-6 victory over Wentworth Institute of Technology this morning at Northeast Regional Park in Davenport, Fla. Simmons improves to 4-1 on the season, while the Leopards fall to 0-4.

    ENGLEWOOD, Fla. -- The Simmons University women's lacrosse team was defeated by Nazareth College, 17-2, today at Ann Dever Park in Englewood, Fla. The Sharks three-match win streak comes to an end as they fall to 3-1 on the season, while the Golden Flyers improve to 2-3.
  • Whitman Ties Lacrosse Rookie Mark for Goals to Lead Sharks over Clark, 12-6

    BOSTON, Mass. – First year attacker Lauren Whitman (Mansfield, Mass.) matched the school record for goals by a first year with seven to lead the Simmons University women’s lacrosse team over visiting Clark University, 12-6, this afternoon at Daly Field in Brighton, Mass. The Sharks improve to 3-0 on the season to establish the best start in school history, while the Cougars fall to 2-2 in their inaugural season.

    BOSTON, Mass. – First year attacker Lauren Whitman (Mansfield, Mass.) netted four goals to lead the Simmons University women’s lacrosse team to a 13-10 victory over visiting University of Massachusetts Dartmouth this evening at Daly Field in Brighton, Mass. The Sharks improve to 2-0 on the season, while the Corsairs fall to 1-1.

  • Elliott, Reinhold Lead Lacrosse over Salve Regina, 14-7, in Season Opener

    NEWPORT, R.I. -- Sophomore transfer goalie Nicole Elliott (Wayne, N.J.) made 16 saves and junior midfielder Molly Reinhold (Mystic, Conn.) tallied six points, including four goals, to lead the Simmons University women's lacrosse team to a 14-7 season-opening victory over host Salve Regina University this afternoon at Toppa Field in Newport, R.I. The Sharks improve to 1-0 on the season, while the Seahawks fall to 1-1.
