Swimming & Diving Posts Sixth-Highest GPA in Division III to Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Honors
June 21, 2017NORFOLK, Va. - The Simmons College Swimming & Diving squad was named a Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association after posting the sixth-highest grade point average among NCAA Division III programs following the Spring semester, it was announced by the organization. -

February 28, 2017BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Simmons College women’s swimming & diving Head Coach Mindy Williams (Hampstead, N.H.) was named the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association Charles Silvia Women’s Swimming Coach of the Year and Miriam Swisher (Albuquerque, N.M.) was tabbed the Bruce Hutchinson Swimmer of the Meet, following the NEISDA Championships on February 16-19 in Kingston, R.I. at host University of Rhode Island.

January 28, 2017BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Miriam Swisher (Albuquerque, N.M.) and sophomore Laura Simpson (Perkiomenville, Pa.) each finished first in three events to lead the Simmons College women’s swimming & diving team over visiting Mount Holyoke College, 186-102, this afternoon at the Holmes Sports Center Natatorium in Boston, Mass. The Sharks finish their regular season with the first perfect season in school history at 12-0, while the Lyons fall to 2-7.

January 21, 2017BOSTON, Mass. – The Simmons College women’s swimming & diving team defeated visiting Western New England University, 210-65, and Saint Joseph’s College (Maine), 217-58, in a double-dual meet this afternoon at the Holmes Sports Center Natatorium in Boston, Mass. WNEU defeated SJC, 151-99. The Sharks improve to a perfect 11-0, while Western New England is now 4-5 and Saint Joseph’s falls to 1-6.

January 14, 2017NEW LONDON, N.H. - Sophomore Kerry Fleming (Northampton, Mass.) earned three first place finishes to lead the Simmons College women's swimming & diving team to victories over host Colby-Sawyer College and Regis College this afternoon in a double-dual meet in New London, N.H. The Sharks defeated Colby-Sawyer, 195-67, and Regis, 184-88. Simmons improves to a perfect 9-0, while Colby-Sawyer falls 2-4 to and Regis dips to 7-2.

December 03, 2016BOSTON, Mass. - Senior Miriam Swisher (Albuquerque, N.M.) broke four individual conference records to lead the Simmons College women’s swimming and diving team to a first place showing following Day One of the 2016 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championship today at the Holmes Sports Center Natatorium in Boston, Mass. The Norwich University men’s team saw eight competitors register double-digit efforts to lead a balanced effort to put the Cadets in first place following the first day of the GNAC Invitational.

The Sharks improve to a perfect 6-0 on the season, while the Nor'easters fall to 3-2.
