  • New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) names 25 Simmons student-athletes to the 2020 Spring All-Academic Team

    The New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) recently announced the 2020 Spring All-Academic Team.  This honor is awarded to any student-athlete, of the Association's 21 member institutions, who has earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher during the spring semester.  
  • Williams Named GNAC Women's Swimming & Diving Coach of the Year; 14 Named to All-Conference Team

    WINTHROP, Mass. – Simmons University's Mindy Williams (Hampstead, N.H.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Swimming & Diving Coach of the Year, while 14 Simmons swimming & diving student-athletes earned All-Conference honors it was announced today by the conference. 
  • Scholand Named to 2019-20 CSCAA All-America Team

    COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Simmons University's Áine Scholand (Albuquerque, N.M.) has been named All-America by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America for the 2019-20 season, it was announced by the CSCAA.
  • Minich Named NEISDA Diving Coach of the Year; Scholand Named Top Swimmer, Manjikian Tabbed Top Diver

    WESTON, Mass. – Simmons University women’s diving coach CJ Minich (Wellesley, Mass.) has been named the 2020 Charles Batterman Women’s Dive Coach of the Year by the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association, it was announced by NEISDA. In addition, Simmons senior Áine Scholand (Albuquerque, N.M.) was formerly named the Bruce Hutchinson Swimmer of the Meet and junior Sara Manjikian (Belmont, Mass.) was tabbed the Diver of the Meet, following last weekend’s championship meet at University of Rhode Island.

    KINGSTON, R.I. – The Simmons University women's swimming & diving team finished second at the 2020 New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association Women's Championship, while senior Áine Scholand (Albuquerque, N.M.) earned the Bruce Hutchinson Award as the meet's top swimmer and junior Sara Manjikian (Belmont, Mass.) was named the meet's top diver this evening at the Tootell Aquatics Center on the campus of host University of Rhode Island in Kingston, R.I.

  • Manjikian Breaks Own GNAC Mark on 3M Board to Lead Simmons to First Place on Day One of SwimDive Championship

    WELLESLEY, Mass. – Junior Sara Manjikian (Belmont, Mass.) broke her own conference record on the three-meter board to lead the Simmons University women's swimming & diving team to a first-place showing following Day One of the 2020 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championship. Two women’s records total were broken, while a men’s standard fell as well at the Boston Sports Institute Natatorium in Wellesley, Mass. Simmons leads the meet with 193 points, while Norwich University topped all schools on the men’s side with 68 points.

  • SwimDive Gives Williams Her 100th Career Coaching Victory in 180-120 Decision at Mount Holyoke

    SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Simmons University women’s swimming & diving Head Coach Mindy Williams (Hampstead, N.H.) earned her 100th career coaching victory following the Sharks 180-120 victory over host Mount Holyoke College this afternoon in their final dual meet of the season at the MHC Natatorium in South Hadley, Mass. The Sharks improve to 6-5 on the season, while the Lyons fall to 3-5.

  • Manjikian, Scholand Lead SwimDive to Double Dual Sweep over Colby-Sawyer and Regis

    NEW LONDON, N.H. - Junior diver Sara Manjikian (Belmont, Mass.) set a pool record and joined senior teammate Áine Scholand (Albuquerque, N.M.) with a pair of wins to lead the Simmons University women's swimming & diving team to victories over host Colby-Sawyer College (216-73) and Regis College (187-107) this afternoon in a double-dual meet at the Knight Natatorium in New London, N.H. The Sharks improve to 5-5 on the season, while Colby-Sawyer falls to 4-8, including a 146-117 loss to Regis. Regis is now 8-2 on the season.

    BIDDEFORD, Maine -- Senior Áine Scholand (Albuquerque, N.M.) won a pair of events and broke the pool record in the 1650-yard freestyle in a 185-77 victory this afternoon over host University of New England at the Campus Center Pool in Biddeford, Maine. The Sharks improve to 3-5 on the season, while the Nor'Easters fall to 1-3.
