Stefani Penn joined the Simmons College cross country coaching staff in August of 2014 as an Assistant Coach.

The Pittsburgh, Pa. native was a four-year standout for the Carnegie Mellon University cross country and track & field teams and was named a Captain for her senior campaign. Penn, earned a spot on the University Athletic Association All-Academic Team three times for the Tartans.

Penn's competitive passion remained strong following her graduate from CMU with appearances in the Philadelphia Marathon as well as the Boston Marathon three times. She crossed the line with an impressive time of 3:06:43 in Philadelphia in the 2013 race. Penn currently runs for the Boston Athletic Association and is pursuing a PhD at Boston University's School of Public Health in Environmental Health. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor at BU Metropolitan College.
