Cross Country Places First at the Suffolk Invitational Gold Race

BOSTON – Simmons cross country finished first in at 13-team field with team score of 69 at the Suffolk Invitational Women's Gold Team Race at Franklin Park on Saturday afternoon.

Senior runner Alice Najimy beat her time from last week, crossing the finish line with a time of 25:01.5 to place third in the 106-runner field. Junior Nick Beaulieu and senior Chloe O'Hara also placed in the top-10, clocking in with times of 26:22.2 and 26:27.7, respectively.

Sophomore Sarah Cain ran a season-best, finishing with a time of 27:08.8, while junior Clare Thompson also posted her best time this season with a time of 28:46.2.

OTHER SIMMONS RUNNERS

  • First-year Katelyn Wyatt posted her best time of the season, 32:23.4 to finish 61st I nthe 106-runner field.
  • Sophomore Sarah Giuliano placed 34th with a time of 28:40.6.
  • Senior Elena Dickey crossed the finish line in 32:34.4.
  • Junior Julia DiGiacomo finished in 32:52.8
