Sharks Top Gators in Cross Country

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. ? Simmons College junior Shelly Potter (York, ME) finished with the top time of 21:30 to lead the Sharks to a 15-40 victory over Pine Manor Cross Country on Thursday afternoon in Chestnut Hill, MA.

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Simmons College junior Shelly Potter (York, Maine) finished with the top time of 21:30 to lead the Sharks to a 15-40 victory over Pine Manor Cross Country on Thursday afternoon in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

 

The Sharks captured the top-11 finishing times in the field as Potter was followed in by Breanna Glynn (Marshfield, Mass.) who finished with a time of 22:36. The remaining top-five finishers for Simmons included: Mia DeLuccia (Lynfield, Mass.) with a time of 22:45, Tiffany Pierce (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) who finished in 23:35 and Alicia Morales (Uxbridge, Mass.) who came in at 23:53.

 

For the Gators, Maria Vaughan (Okinawa, Japan) finished twelfth overall with a team best time of 26:05.

 

Pine Manor will return to the course next week when the Gators host Mount Ida College for a Dual Meet on Thursday, October 10, 2013. Simmons will now look forward to the Seven Sisters Championship at Smith College on Saturday, October 19, 2013.
