Sarah Apgar joins the Sharks for the 2016 season and is no stranger to competition in the Boston area.

A four-year standout at nearby Lesley University, Apgar helped the Lynx post a 59-15-7 (.772) record, including an unbeaten conference mark of 33-0-2, en-route to a pair of New England Collegiate Conference crowns and two NCAA Tournament appearances. 

Apgar began her career as a forward at Lesley, earning NECC Honorable Mention All-Conference honors as a sophomore, before capping her career in the backfield, leading the Lynx defense in recording a 0.74 goals against average, while earning National Soccer Coaches Association of America New England Second Team All-Region and First Team All-Conference accolades. 

The New Jersey native started 55 of 76 matches that she appeared in, while racking up 47 points on 16 goals and 12 assists. 

She graduated from Lesley in 2014 with a degree in Education.
