Kate Dawsey joined the Sharks Field Hockey program in the fall 2011 season.

A 2010 graduate of Clark University with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and art, Dawsey was a four-year student athlete in field hockey. She played in 45 games during her career as a goalkeeper and finished with a save percentage of 0.81. She led the Cougars to an overall record of 9-7 in 2009 and was named to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference Second Team All-Conference in both 2008 and 2009.

Equally devoted to academics, Dawsey was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-Conference Academic Squad from 2007-2009, and was awarded the Clark University Scholar Athlete Award three of her four years.

Prior to Simmons, Dawsey was the assistant field hockey coach for Clark University in the fall of 2010. Her primary responsibilities involved all aspects of goalkeeper development. In addition to coaching, Dawsey completed her Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Clark in the spring of 2011.

She is currently working as an Art Teacher at The Gifford School in Weston, Mass.
