WESTON, Mass. – Simmons tennis (3-4, 1-1 GNAC) climbed back to .500 on the season with a come-from-behind victory over Regis College (2-2, 0-1 GNAC) on Wednesday afternoon.

The Sharks fell down early, dropping first and second doubles. But third doubles duo of sophomore Laura Lowe and first-year Emma Parsons overcame an 0-2 hole, edging out Sophi Machado and Akshita Duvvuri, 8-5, to head into singles only down one.

Momentum completely shifted over to the Sharks as the teams moved into singles. Parsons made quick work of Madelynn Philibottle in two sets (6-0, 6-0), before Lowe knocked off Duvvuri in fifth singles, 6-0, 6-1.

In a tough first singles match, first-year Emilie Lapointe was able to edge out Stephanie Beatrice, 6-3, 6-2, while a court over fellow first-year Megan Baadsgaard pulled out a grueling, 6-4, 7-5 win in second singles. Senior Sara Fucillo earned the fifth Sharks singles win defeating Machado in two sets in fourth singles.
