    WORCESTER, Mass. - The Simmons College crew team's First Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Eight both finished third in their respective final races to lead the Sharks to a 13th place finish at the National Invitational Rowing Championship on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. this morning to close out the season.

    WORCESTER, Mass. - The No. 13 Simmons College women's crew team placed third at the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference women's rowing championship this morning on Lake Quinsigamond. The Sharks tallied 24 points, behind Wellesley College, which scored 40 points to earn its sixth consecutive NEWMAC crown, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, which totaled 28 points.

    WORCESTER, Mass. - Simmons College women's crew team members Ronnie Bennett (Pottstown, Pa.) and Chelsea Foster (Avon, Conn.) were both named to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference Women's Rowing All-Conference First Team, while Clarice Johnson (Norwell, Mass.) earned Second Team honors, it was announced this morning following the NEWMAC Championship.

    BOSTON, Mass. - Seniors Allie Belanger (Blackstone, Mass.) and Jill Bolduc (Methuen, Mass.) and sophomores Ronnie Bennett (Pottstown, Pa.), Karina Bercan (Derry, N.H.) and Alexa Frongillo (Franklin, Mass.) were all named to the 2016 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference Rowing Academic All-Conference team, it was announced today by the league.

    SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. - The Simmons College crew team finished third at the 30th Annual Seven Sisters Rowing Championship on Sunday morning on the Connecticut River in South Hadley, Mass. The races, featuring host Mount Holyoke, Wellesley College, Bryn Mawr College, Smith College and the Sharsk spanned a three mile stretch of the Connecticut River, finishing at the Mount Holyoke Boathouse.
