Quinlan Secures GNAC Swimmer of the Week for Fourth Time Heading into GNAC Championship Meet

WINTHROP, Mass. – For the fourth time this season, sophomore Carli Quinlan garnered Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Swimmer of the Week honors announced by the league on Monday afternoon.

At the annual two-day Seven Sisters Invitational, Quinlan captured four first place finishes. Beginning with the 50-yard butterfly, the Haverhill, Massachusetts native touched the wall .29 seconds ahead of, host, Mount Holyoke's Carolina Loayza to secure first place with a time of 27.20.

Four events later, in the 50-yard freestyle, she collected her second first place finish, clocking with a time of 25.16 before earning her third in the 200-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 1:59.59. On the second day of the meet, Quinlan secured first place in the 100-yard freestyle finishing with a season-best time of 54.32.

Quinlan's four first place finishes this weekend gives her 14 on the season as the Sharks head into the three-day GNAC Championship Meet on February 2-4.
