WINTHROP, Mass. – First-year swimmer Carli Quinlan earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week honors announced Tuesday evening. 

Quinlan helped guide Simmons to a 1-1 week to open the 2022-23 season, which including a dual meet win over Westfield State University. Against the Owls, she finished first in both the 100- and 200-yard freestyles, posting times of 56.30 and 2:02.73, respectively. Additionally, she swam the anchor leg of both the Sharks relay squads - 200-yard medley relay (2:00.45) and the 200-yard free relay (1:47.79).

Simmons returns to the pool this Saturday, October 29 when they host Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts at 1 p.m.
