Swimming and Diving Receives Spring 2022 CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Honors

BOSTON – Simmons swimming and diving was one of 731 college programs across the nation to be recognized as a College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team for the spring of 2022 announced earlier this week.

The Sharks, who claimed second place at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship in early February, finished the spring semester with a 3.42 team GPA. Amongst their GNAC counterparts, they finished third behind only Regis (3.75) and the University of St. Joseph (Conn.) (3.46). 

Teams were selected on the basis of their Spring 2022 grade point average and represent 17,845 student-athletes. The highest team GPA's come from Division III Caltech men and Pacific Lutheran for women, both achieving a 3.85 team GPA.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
