WINTHROP, Mass. – First-year swimmer Ella Harmon captured Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week honors, announced Monday afternoon. Harmon helped the Shark open the 2021-22 season with dual meet victory over Westfield State University on Saturday.

Harmon posted a pair of first place finishes in the 50- and 100-yard butterfly. In the 50 fly, Harmon touched the wall with a time of 29.15 - .42 seconds ahead of Westfield's Katherine Ferri, while in the 100 fly she beat out Ferri by a second with a time of 1:05.08.

Simmons returns to the pool next Friday and Saturday, November 5-6 at the WPI Invitational beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Friday night.
