The Sharks have earned the award in all seven of the reporting periods. Fleming has garnered the honor three times, having previously been named for the weeks of October 19-25 and November 16-22. Classmate Laura Simpson (Perkiomenville, Pa.) has also been tabbed the weekly winner three times, while rookie Charlotte Rivard (Norwood, Mass.) was selected last week by the GNAC.

Fleming won both events that she entered in a double-dual meet vs. Regis College and Colby-Sawyer College on January 17 in Weston, Mass. The Norwood High School product hit the wall first to win the 50-yard freestyle, before showing her versatility in the stroke with a win in the 500-yard freestyle on a time of 5:23.96 to win the race by more than 18 seconds. The first year also helped Simmons to a pair of relay wins. She swam the freestyle leg of the 200-yard medley relay, helping the quartet post a time of 1:56.45 and was the third leg of the winning 200-yard freestyle squad that turned in a mark of 1:48.64. Her 18 points helped pace the Sharks to a 194-66 win over Regis and a 190-69 victory over Colby-Sawyer.

Fleming has been one of the team's top scorers all season, posting 23 top-three finishes, including 12 first-place showings. She has won five of seven 50-yard freestyle events, while also recording victories in the 200 and 500-yard freestyle races. Fleming is unbeaten in the 100-yard individual medley with three wins in as many starts. She earned double All-Conference status by winning the 50-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 25.49 at the GNAC Championship on December 5 and also claimed the title in the 100-yard IM with a personal-record time of 1:03.45. Fleming posted a career-best mark of 54.65 in the 100-yard freestyle to place second at the league championships and also finished second in the 200-yard freestyle in the championship meet with a personal-best time of 1:58.82.
