Swimming & Diving Saturday Finals Moved to Morning

BOSTON, Mass. -- Simmons Swimming & Diving swam to a 180-68 victory at Western New England University Saturday afternoon. Sharks first year Hannah Plourde (Westfield, Mass.) and senior Jen Collins (Trumbull, Conn.) each scored 18 individual points.

BOSTON, Mass. -- The evening session at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association Championships has been canceled due to the impending snow storm.  This morning's session will be a timed finals event and will include the 800 Freestyle Relay.

After Friday's events, the Sharks are currently ranked 4th. First Year Miriam Swisher (Albuquerque, N.M.) finished second in the 50 Free, just .09 seconds behind first place. The Sharks 200 Free Relay of Shylee Stewart (Eastham, Mass.), Amy Davis (Southbury, Conn.), Jen Collins (Trumbull, Conn.) and Swisher finished second in a time of 1:38.97.
