2013 GNAC Women's Swimming & Diving Championship and Men's Invitational Underway

BOSTON, Mass. -- The 2013 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Swimming and Diving Championship and Men's Invitational are underway as the Simmons Sharks lead the Women's field with 213 points, followed by the University of Saint Joseph with 71, Regis College with 53, Elms College with 42, Husson University with 38, and Saint Joseph's College of Maine posting 37 points to round out the teams through the first day of competition.

Leading the men's field for the third straight year is Norwich University, who recorded 168 points, followed by Elms College with 106, Regis College with 70, Saint Joseph's College of Maine with 67 points, and Husson University with 22 points.

 

It was a fast day of competition, with several GNAC and pool records broken.

The 2013 GNAC Women's Championship and Men's Invitational will continue tomorrow morning with the first event set to begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Holmes Sports Center at Simmons College. Sunday's finals will begin at 5:00 p.m.
