BOSTON, Mass. -- On Thursday, November 8th, the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association released their top-32 report, which ranked Simmons junior Jen Collins (Trumbull, Conn.) in the top-seven in four events.

Collins, who was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week on Wednesday, is undefeated this season and is currently ranked in the top-seven in the 100 and 200 freestyle events, as well as the 100 and 200 IM. She also holds the No. 1 ranking in the 100 IM, the event she won at the NEISDA Championship last winter.

After three meets this season, Collins has scored 84 individual points to lead the Sharks to a 2-1 record. This past weekend, she finished first in all three of her individual events against the University of New England; the 50 free, 200 free and 200 IM and also anchored the 200 freestyle relay to win, which set the UNE pool record.

"Jen's consistent performance and versatility has allowed Simmons to compete at a higher level. With the confidence of Jen's talent, our relays are stronger and our team is more competitive. Although we use her primarily in sprint freestyle and IM, she has the capability to excel in just about any race," said Head Coach Mindy Williams.

The Sharks return to the pool on Saturday at Wellesley College at 1:00 p.m.
