Simmons Basketball junior Stephanie Fox (West Springfield, Mass.) and Swimming sophomore Chennelle Jackson (Dorchester, Mass.) received Great Northeast Athletic Conference honor roll mention for their efforts in the last week of winter competition.

In a 1-1 week for Sharks basketball, Fox averaged 18.5 points and 12 rebounds per game. In addition, she recorded a double-double in both matches, scoring a game-high 27 points with 12 rebounds and four steals to lead Simmons past St. Joseph's Maine. Fox added 10 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks in a 67-60 loss to Norwich.

"Stephanie's selection to the honor roll is a compliment to her talents and efforts on the court. She has worked hard to lift and lead the team," said Head Coach Tony Price.

Chennelle Jackson had some huge time drops at the New England Championships and scored 17 individual points for Simmons. She finished 15th in the 100 Fly with a lifetime best time of 1:05.83—nearly 3 seconds faster than her previous personal best. She also finished 8th in the 50 Fly with an impressive 28.79, a full second faster than her previous season's best.

"Nellie had a great season," said Head Coach Mindy Williams. "Everything seemed to come together at New Englands for her. She swam some phenomenal races and dropped huge amounts of time off of her seeds, which in some cases were already lifetime best times. She was an integral part of our team's success on relays and she also scored 17 individual points. Next year, she will undoubtedly be someone that our competitors watch."
