WINTHROP, Mass. – Simmons soccer senior Sydney Neumuth was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Sportsmanship Team announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon. 

One of three captains this season, Neumuth has been an outstanding leader for the Sharks and upholds all the values of sportsmanship. Over the course of her three years on the pitch at Simmons, Neumuth registered seven goals and two assists for a total of 16 points as well as recorded a pair of game-winners. This season, the Connecticut native scored in the opening half against conference foe Albertus Magnus College.

Away from the field, Neumuth has excelled in the classroom as she pursues a career in nursing, earning College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors in the fall of 2022.

Additionally, the Sharks as a team garnered the 2023 GNAC Institutional Sportsmanship Award.
