Full United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Honors Release
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the 20th time in program history, Simmons soccer received United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Honors announced earlier this week. Additionally, the Sharks finished tied for eighth amongst all NCAA Division III institutions and were one of only five New England Division III institutions in the Top 10.
Posting an outstanding 3.74 team GPA over the course of the 2022-23 academic year, the Sharks were one of 814 soccer teams across the nation and all divisions to earn the accolades. Simmons was previously recognized in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
Simmons was one of five Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) institutions to garner the accolades for the for the 2022-23 academic year. Colby-Sawyer, Johnson & Wales, Mitchell and New England College were the other GNAC schools to be recognized.
