Soccer Drops Road Loss to Regis, 1-0

WESTON, Mass. – Simmons soccer (2-9-1, 2-5-1 GNAC) falls to Regis College (7-4-0, 6-3-0 GNAC) on the road, Wednesday evening.

The Pride jump on the scoreboard early, 17 minutes into the contest. Julia Walsh found the back of the net on a pass from Valerie Gordon to put Regis up 1-0. Regis never looked back and continued to have the edge offensively.

Sophomore goalkeeper Marita Nothacker was solid once again in net to keep the Shark in the game, rejecting 13 shot attempts. But it was the Sharks were unable to muster much offensive against the Pride defense. Junior captain Izabella Warren, who entered the game with assists in back-to-back games led the Sharks with a pair of shots on net.
