BRIGHTON, Mass. – Simmons soccer (2-8-2, 2-4-1 GNAC) and Anna Maria (1-9-2, 0-6-2 GNAC) fought through a pair of overtimes to a 1-1 tie, Saturday afternoon.

The two teams battled each other tough in a scoreless first half. It wasn't until 70th minute of the game when the Sharks finally broke up the stalemate. Off a corner, taken by junior captain Izabella Warren, sophomore Sydney Neumuth knocked a header into the upper left corner of the net from a pass from junior Liv Shaw

However, the lead was short-lived. A minute later, the Amcats were able to take advantage of a foul by the Sharks just outside the 18-yard-box. Deanna Barker drilled a shot just out of reach of the outstretched Simmons' goalkeeper Mo Grant to tie up the game.

In her first game in net, Grant received outstanding defense from her teammates, registering three saves.
