Late Second Half Goals Drops Soccer Back to .500 in Conference Play

NEW LONDON, N.H. - Simmons soccer (1-3-0, 1-1-0 GNAC) fell back to .500 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) following a 1-0 decision against Colby-Sawyer (1-3-0, 1-0-0 GNAC) on Saturday afternoon.

It was a scoreless battle in upper New Hampshire throughout the entire first half with the shots being equal, four each. Four minutes into the game, graduate senior Nell Spencer nearly put the Sharks on the board, but Charger goalkeeper Alexis LeBreton came up with the same.

The Chargers had the upper-hand in possession, maintaining control of the ball 62% of the time, which panned out well for Colby-Sawyer in the 79th minute. Midfielder Briget O'Connell lined the ball into the upper corner for the game winner.

Sophomore goalkeeper Marita Nothacker registered four saves for the Sharks in the loss
