Katie Congdon was promoted to the Head Coaching post for Simmons in July of 2014 after four years on the Sharks' coaching staff as an assistant.

Congdon has been a key member of the Simmons lacrosse program, working primarily with the offense and midfield. She helped direct the Sharks to their best season ever in 2013, posting a 10-4 record, while narrowly missing the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament berth in a one-goal loss in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship game.

She currently works for Northeastern University in the Department of Athletics as the Development Events Coordinator.

Katie is a Northeastern alumna, having completed her master's degree in sports leadership in the spring of 2011. She earned a bachelor's degree in English, specializing in communication and journalism, from the University of Rochester in 2005 where she also played lacrosse.
