Lacrosse Receives IWLCA Academic Honor Squad Honors for 11th Time; Program-Best 14 Student-Athletes Earn Individual Honors

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Simmons lacrosse was one of 290 schools across, all divisions to earn Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad honors announced Wednesday afternoon.

It was the 11th time in program history the Sharks received the recognition and were one of seven GNAC institutions to earn the accolades. Dean, Elms, Emmanuel, Regis, Saint Joseph's College of Maine and the University of St. Joseph (Conn.) were the other six conference schools to receive recognition. To qualify for the recognition, the team must have posed a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the 2022-23 academic year.

Additionally, Simmons led all GNAC schools with a program-best 14 individuals to earn academic honor roll recognition. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

 This year's IWLCA Academic Honor Roll recipients include: Emi Boedeker, Kayla Boulas, Maggie Callender, Riley Campbell, Julia Chausse, Emily Duffley, Nicole Elliott, Christina Ferrari, Sammi Hogan, Marita Nothacker, Sidney Pilot, Abby Stoller, Riley Wasiuk and Lauren Whitman.
