Wasiuk Named to IWLCA All-Region Second Team

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – After being named the 2023 GNAC Defender of the Year senior Riley Wasiuk was selected to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Region Second Team announced Wednesday afternoon.

Receiving the regional accolades for a second straight year, Wasiuk was one of 256 student-athletes in Division III to be named to one of the teams. She is now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American Team, which will be announced on May 24.

This season on the lacrosse field, Wasiuk registered a career year as she became the program's all-time career and single-season record holder for caused turnovers. A stoic defender, she pestered opposing offense, registering a 46 caused turnovers while also tallying 45 ground balls. Additionally, Wasiuk recorded her first collegiate career goal in a convincing 20-4 victory over Anna Maria College on April 15.
