Lacrosse Places Program-Best 11 Members on IWLCA Academic Honor Squad; Receive Academic Team Honors

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Following their best season in program history in 2022, the Simmons lacrosse team was one of 295 schools across, all divisions, to earn Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad honors, announced Wednesday afternoon.  

It was the 10th time the Sharks received the recognition and were one of six GNAC institutions to earn the accolades. Colby-Sawyer, Dean, Emmanuel, Lasell and Saint Joseph's College of Maine were the other five schools. To qualify for the recognition, the team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the 2021-22 academic year.

Additionally, Simmons led all GNAC schools with a program-best 11 individuals earning academic honor roll honors. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

This year's IWLCA Academic Honor Roll recipients include: Kelsey Benedict, Emi Boedeker, Riley Campbell, Sammi Hogan, Liz Krenicky, Erin McIntyre, Sidney Pilot, Zoe Robertson, Abby Stoller, Lauren Whitman, and Riley Wasiuk.
