Wasiuk Named To IWLCA All-Region Second Team

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Junior defender Riley Wasiuk was named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Region Second Team, announced Thursday morning.

Selected to the All-GNAC Second Team last week, Wasiuk anchored a Shark defense that was ranked amongst the top-10 in the nation in scoring defense and 16th in caused turnovers. The Rutland, Massachusetts native registered a career single-game high six ground balls and caused turnovers in an 18-11 quarterfinal win over the seventh seed Lasell University to be named to the All-Tournament Team.

Wasiuk was one of two Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) student-athletes to be named to the IWLCA All-Region Team. Saint Joseph's College (ME) senior Lydia Dexter joined Wasiuk on the Second Team.
