Hogan Grabs Final GNAC Rookie of the Week Honors

WINTHROP, Mass. – Simmons lacrosse junior Sammi Hogan garnered Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week Honors announced Monday evening. 

Hogan guided the Sharks to a 2-0 week, which included the program's first victory in eight years over conference foe Johnson & Wales University to claim the second seed in the GNAC post-season. Late in the week, she opened the conference playoff tournament leading the Sharks with six goals and one assist for seven points in an 18-11 victory over the seventh seed Lasell University. In addition, against the Lasers, Hogan scooped up two ground balls.

The Sharks look to extend its season hosting third seed Johnson & Wales at Daly Field in the GNAC semifinals Tuesday evening May 3 at 7 p.m. A fan bus will depart the Bartol Lot at 6:30 p.m. for anyone looking to support the Sharks.
