WINTHROP, Mass. – Simmons lacrosse secured the second seed in the 2022 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament announced by the conference Thursday evening.
Ending the regular season with a 10-game winning streak, the Sharks finished the regular season with a program-best 15-2 overall mark, including 12-1 in conference. It is just the second time in program-history Simmons finished second in the GNAC – the last time being in 2013 when they posted a 10-4 record, 7-2 against conference foes.
Leading the GNAC with 240 caused turnovers as a team, the Sharks are slated to host seventh seed Lasell University (7-9, 6-7 GNAC) on Saturday, April 30 at Daly Field. Game time is slated for 1 p.m.
