WINTHROP, Mass. – Sophomore attacker Julia Chausse was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week announced Monday afternoon. 

Chausse guided the Sharks to a 2-0 week, registering three goals and 10 assists for 13 points, while tallying four caused turnovers, three draw controls and two ground balls. Early in the week, she tied her career single-game best registering eight points (3 Goals, 5 Assists) in a convincing 22-2 victory over Regis College. Additionally, in the victory over the pride she surpassed the program's single-season assist mark with five assists. Chausse concluded the week dishing out another five assists) in a 19-3 win over Albertus Magnus on Saturday afternoon.

With two games left in the regular season, Simmons returns to the field on Saturday, April 23 when they travel to West Hartford, Connecticut for a 3 p.m. tilt against St. Joseph (Conn.).
