Elliott, Chausse Garner GNAC Weekly Accolades

WINTHROP, Mass. – Senior goalkeeper Nicole Elliott and sophomore attacker Julia Chausse garnered Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Week announced Monday afternoon. The pair guided Simmons to a 3-0 week, which included handing Colby-Sawyer its first loss of the season.

Elliott posted a .750 save percentage registering 15 saves over the course of the three-game week. Against the Chargers, she recorded a .846 save perentage, recording 11 saves on 13 attempts to pick up her ninth victory of the season. The previous day she led the Sharks to a 15-2 win over Elms, tallying three saves in 39 minutes.

Chausse secured Rookie of the Week honors after amassing seven goals and three assists for 10 points in three games. The East Freetown, Massachusetts native registered back-to-back hat-tricks against Rivier University and Elms College for her second and third consecutive hat-trick – fifth on the season.
