Lacrosse Named a 2015 Honor Squad by the IWLCA

GRAND LAKE, Colo. - The Simmons College women's lacrosse team was named a 2015 Honor Squad by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association, it was announced by the organization.

GRAND LAKE, Colo. - The Simmons College women's lacrosse team was named a 2015 Honor Squad by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association, it was announced by the organization. 

The Sharks were one of 128 NCAA Division III programs to earn a team grade point average of 3.00 or better to earn the honor. Simmons posted a 3.53 team GPA and has been recognized for its academics by the IWLCA for the past four seasons. Eight members of the Simmons lacrosse team registered a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

The Sharks finished the season with a 6-9 record, including 4-5 in league play to finish sixth in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference. Simmons concluded the campaign with an appearance in the GNAC Tournament Quarterfinals.
