Sheehan Named GNAC Lacrosse Rookie of the Week

BOSTON, Mass.- Simmons Lacrosse freshman midfielder Ashley Sheehan (North Attleboro, Mass.) was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week announced Tuesday by the Conference.

BOSTON, Mass.- Simmons Lacrosse freshman midfielder Ashley Sheehan (North Attleboro, Mass.) was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week announced Tuesday by the Conference. Sheehan scored a season high five goals against Anna Maria on Thursday, moving her to second on the team in number of goals scored with 11.

During the Sharks 3-0 week, Sheehan scored nine goals, added one assist, posted five caused turnovers and five ground balls. With their 20-4 win over Anna Maria on Thursday, the Sharks move to an undefeated 3-0 in the conference and 4-1 overall.

Simmons will return to action on Wednesday, when they host Fenway rival Emmanuel at 7:00 PM.
