Natalie Stever (Chagrin Falls, Ohio), a sophomore forward on the Simmons Soccer team, is one of three Simmons students chosen to exhibit artwork at this year's Student Exhibition at Boston University's Photographic Resource Center (PRC), after she submitted a photograph to the Simmons Art Department.

The exhibition, which opened on February 6 and will run through March 15, features the work of students from nineteen PRC Institutional Member schools, including Simmons College.

Stever developed her interest in photography as a freshman at Simmons in a Basic Photography class. She has since taken more advanced classes, including digital photography, and Stever now plans on turning her newfound passion into her academic minor.

"I love being involved in the photography program at Simmons because it is something I enjoy working on, and it is different from the normal learning environment."

Simmons Head Soccer Coach, Erica Mastrogiacomo, is proud of the way her athletes, and Stever in particular, have been able to grow as they progress through Simmons' academic rigors. She plans on visiting the exhibit to see the student work.

"I am proud of Natalie as she is a very dedicated student-athlete. She is committed to her studies, and her interest in photography is not surprising given her creative personality. Being a student-athlete at the collegiate level is very time-consuming and for Natalie to be able to balance school, two sports and her photography interest is impressive."

Stever has four goals and two assists under her belt during her first two years on the Soccer team. This spring, she will be playing for the Sharks Lacrosse program, the ninth and newest addition to the Department of Athletics varsity programs, headed by first-year Coach Kate Leonard.

Stever was a three-year varsity letter winner at the Hawken School in soccer and lacrosse, and was a captain of the soccer team her senior year.
