WORCESTER, Mass. – Competing in the 2024 NEWMAC Championship on Saturday morning, Simmons rowing posted its second lowest time of the spring season.
Racing on Lake Quinsigamond for the third time in as many weeks, the Sharks crossed the finish line of the 2,000-meter race, with a time of 8:17.49 to place seventh. In the process, senior Dalila Marzialo and first-year Michaline Becknell received All-NEWMAC Second Team recognition.
Co-host WPI came out won the NEWMAC Championship for just the second time in program history, unseating defending champion Wellesley College.
