Rowing Places Second to Earn A Spot in Saturday's Grand Final at Dad Vail Regatta

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Competing in the annual Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta for the first time over two decades, Simmons rowing Varsity Eight earned a bye into tomorrow afternoon's Grand Final.

The top two teams in each heat on Friday afternoon automatically move to the Grand Final and the Sharks were one of the four. Simmons finished second in their heat, posting a season-best time of 7:06.901 – fourth best amongst the Division III Women's Varsity Heavyweight Eight boats in field and just three seconds behind Stockton University's time.
