SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Simmons rowing hit the water in upstate New York this weekend competing against Johnson & Wales, Union College and, host, Skidmore on Saturday morning.
Facing moderately choppy conditions that increased through the race, the Sharks Varsity 8 boat crossed the finish line with a time of 8:37 – 16 seconds behind Union – for third place. Skidmore finished first with a time of 7:52, while Johnson & Wales rounded out the four teams in the Varsity 8 race with a time of 9:12.
