Trull Named GNAC Field Hockey Rookie of the Week Again

BOSTON, Mass. ? Simmons College?s Olivia Trull (Lowell, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Field Hockey Rookie of the Week for the week of September 12-18, it was announced today by the league. 

WINTRHOP, Mass. ? Simmons College?s Olivia Trull (Lowell, Mass.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week for the week of September 26 to October 2, it was announced today by the league. It?s the second time that Trull has earned the honor this season, having been tabbed following the week of September 12-18 as well. She is the only player in the conference to earn the accolade multiple times this season.

She is the only player in the conference to earn the accolade multiple times this season. 

Trull tallied three points for the week with a goal and an assist for the Sharks. She scored the game-winning goal and assisted on the team's other goal in a 2-1 victory over Lasell College on October 1. 

For the season, the Lowell High School graduate is tied for second on the team with five goals and stands third for Simmons with 11 points, including an assist. Trull ranks eighth among league leaders in goals and ninth in points. The forward is tied for tops on the squad with a pair of game-winning goals and her .333 shooting percentage is the best for any Shark this season with three or more goals. 

Simmons is currently 6-4 on the season, including a perfect 3-0 in league play. The Sharks return to action on Tuesday, October 4 when they take on Colby-Sawyer College at 7:00 p.m. on Daly Field.
