Ten Sharks Named to 2012 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad

BOSTON, Mass. -- Senior Michaela Sangillo (Gray, Maine) and juniors Monica Doucette (Rockport, Maine) and Courtney Cappadona (Foxboro, Mass.) of the Simmons Field Hockey team were named to the 2012 North Atlantic Conference Fall All-Academic Team announced today by the conference. CHANDLER, Ariz. -- Ten Simmons Field Hockey student-athletes were named to the 2012 Gladiator by SGI / NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad announced Tuesday by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.

 

The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2012-13 academic year.

 

Representing the Sharks are freshmen Alyssa Conley (Mendon, Mass.), Amy Cronin (Georgetown, Mass.), Gabrielle LaPerriere (Auburn, Maine) and Alexia Malone Oliver (Bristol, R.I.), sophomores Aslyn Dindorf (Harts Location, N.H.), Kelly Williamson (Natick, Mass.) and Caroline Bishop (Natick, Mass.), junior Courtney Cappadona (Foxboro, Mass.) and senior Michaela Sangillo (Gray, Maine), who received the honor for the fourth consecutive year.

 

The Sharks also received the 2012 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division III National Academic Team Award for their Team GPA of 3.54 during the Fall semester.
