NAC Field Hockey Championship Seeding Announced

Simmons Field Hockey finished the regular season with a 9-10 record overall and 4-5 in the North Atlantic Conference earning the #7 seed in the NAC Championship Tournament.

Castleton State College has secured the top seed in the upcoming, as the Spartans (11-7 overall, 9-0 NAC) will take on eighth-seeded Lasell College (3-13 overall, 1-8 NAC) in a quarterfinal game on Sunday.
St. Joseph's College (Me.) earned the second seed, finishing the season 10-5 overall, 8-1 NAC. The Monks will host the Sharks in quarterfinal action Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

Third-seeded New England College (9-8 overall, 7-2 NAC) will host sixth-seeded Thomas College (6-11 overall, 4-5 NAC), while fourth-seeded University of Maine-Farmington (8-7 overall, 6-3 NAC) hosts two-time defending champion and fifth seed Husson University (8-8, 4-5 NAC) in the final quarterfinal match-up.

The top eight teams qualify for the NAC Championship. Predetermined tiebreaking procedures were used to seed teams with identical conference winning percentages.
Quarterfinal round games will be played on Saturday, October 29 at the higher seed. Winners will advance to the semifinals held at the higher seed on Wednesday, November 2. Semifinal winners will meet Saturday, November 5 at the highest remaining seed.

Game times and dates are subject to change. The NAC Champion receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Championship.
