Swimming and Diving Turns In Strong Performances on Day One of Seven Sisters Invitational

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Simmons swimming and diving saw solid performances after day one of the two-day Seven Sisters Invitational in the western part of Massachusetts on Saturday.  

From the first session into the second session, the Sharks continued to see their times improve. Sophomore Carli Quinlan placed first in the 200-yard freestyle, touching the wall with a time of 1:59 – just a second shy of a personal best time.

In the 400-yard IM, senior captain Katelyn Quinlan came a second shy of tying her personal-best time – set at the MIT Invitational – clocking in with a time of 5:10. Fellow captain, junior Camelia Hannah was outstanding in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing with a time of 1:07.
