WINTHROP, Mass. – Sophomore Carli Quinlan and first-year Kenzie Lowry swam away with Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Swimmer and Rookie of the Week honors announced Monday afternoon.

In a non-conference dual meet against Smith College, the Sharks' duo placed first and second in the 100-yard free style. Quinlan touched the wall with a top collegiate time of 57.09 to earn her second event title of the meet, while Lowry finished two seconds behind with a time of 59.29. Additionally, the pair were members of the Sharks' 400-yard freestyle squad that took home the team's third event title. With Lowry swimming the first 100 yards and Quinlan the anchor leg the Sharks clocked in at 3:58.71.

Quinlan also won her second event, touching the wall with a time of 36.06 in the 50-yard freestyle.

Simmons returns to the pool on Saturday, November 4 when they travel to Wellesley, Massachusetts for a double dual meet against Wellesley College and Merrimack College at 11 a.m.
