WINTHROP, Mass. – Sophomore Carli Quinlan secured Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Swimmer of the Week honors announced by the league Monday afternoon.

Quinlan helped the Sharks to a dual meet victory over Westfield State, 135-123, to open the 2023-2024 season. Quinlan took home a pair of first place finishes in the 100-yard freestyle and the 50-yard butterfly, in which she set a new collegiate top performance, touching the wall with a time of 27.71. Additionally, Quinlan swam the anchor leg on the Sharks A squad in the 200-yard freestyle relay to seal the win with a time of 1:46.22.

Simmons returns to the pool on Friday, October 27 when travel to Northampton, Massachusetts for a 6 p.m. dual meet against Smith College.
