Four Swimming and Diving Student Athletes Receive CSC Academic All-District Recognition

BOSTON – Four members of the Simmons swimming and diving team received College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District honors the organization released on Tuesday afternoon.

Seniors Meg Driscoll and Eva Piernas were joined by juniors Katelyn Quinlan and Caroline Mazariegos to earn Academic All-District recognition. 

The 2023 Academic All-District® Women's Swimming and Diving Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

To be an Academic All-District® honoree, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore at their institution and have spent at least one full year at that particular school, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above, and have participated in at least 50 percent of their team's contests as a starter or important reserve. 

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First, second and third team All-America honorees will be announced in late March.
